What we count

• Pay: salary or hourly pay (plus optional bonus + benefits you choose to include).
• Time cost: scheduled hours, unpaid overtime, commute time, unpaid breaks, optional prep time.
• Weeks worked: 52 minus paid weeks off (PTO + holidays).

How to use the result

• Compare two jobs: the higher salary isn’t always the higher true wage.
• Evaluate commute changes: remote or closer work can be a huge “raise.”
